Games empower owners and their dogs to work as a team, playing and learning together, building the skills needed to cope with anything life throws at them. The right games will grow the right concepts, providing your dog with the skills they need to navigate the world and make the right choices every time.

The Problem with Traditional Dog Training
The problem with traditional dog training is that it doesn't prepare your dog for real life. Yes you can teach Sit, Stay, and Down and you can train tricks, which are all great and fun to do, but these don't train your dog for real life situations.
Training a sit doesn't prepare your dog for the situation when you're out on a walk and a dog runs up to them unexpectedly and rolls them over. It doesn't prepare them for to be able to listen to you when it spots a cat and wants nothing more than to chase it and can't even hear you calling his name.
It doesn't prepare them for life.
In order to prepare your dog for life you have to shape their brains. And that is where concept training comes in.
Train Concepts, Not Behaviours
The Pro-Dog Trainer (PDT) is a results-driven, games-based concept dog trainer. This is a very different approach to the one traditionally found in dog training, which focuses on teaching behaviours in an attempt to alter the behaviour that the dog is offering.
We PDTs look at the brain, not the behaviour. In every occasion of dog behaviour, the dog's brain is put into a situation and creates an outcome through choice. That brain, with all its strengths and weaknesses is placed in the situation and provides an outcome.
What traditional dog training would do would be to try and change only the outcome. Traditional training looks to train in the situation by recreating the problem and attempting to resolve the issue as it happens.
But the PDT approach is to acknowledge that brains can be shaped and personalities are fluid and can be influenced to alter the outcome. We look at the weaknesses that are causing the outcome and work to reshape the brain to resolve those weaknesses, to turn the struggle into a strength and thus, to change the outcome. The difficult behaviour vanishes as their brain is now shaped to make a better choice.
