IMPORTANT UPDATE – APRIL 2020
ANNABEL FOUNDATION IS CLOSING
We are updating our website to advise about recent developments with the Annabel Foundation.
After a lot of prayerful reflection and discussion, the Board has decided that in the light of this series of events it is appropriate the Foundation be wound up. Therefore no further applications will be received and bursaries to our existing endorsed candidates will be finalised in the near future.
As some of you will already know the Foundation’s co-founder and visionary, Joan Annabel, went to be with her Lord in August last year. This major event coupled with the impending retirement of Geoff Annabel – the Foundation’s Administration Manager (since our inception in 2008), the COVID-19 crisis situation and the difficulty of recalibrating long term funding options made for a very important Foundation Board meeting on 30th March.
This decision was not taken lightly. It is a matter for great rejoicing to God that since the Foundation’s inception in May 2008 many hundreds of theological students have received bursaries and been mentored, all whilst being supported in prayer as well.
We rejoice with God that many enthusiastic men and women continue to train for ministry. In the uncertainty of the current environment of fear and concern about COVID-19 affecting so many facets of everyday life, we need as many good shepherds as possible to point people to our ultimate answer, Jesus.
We are so grateful that we have been able to partner with so many theological students and we trust in our God’s power and might to fulfil His purposes for their lives.
