I have one durian tree that fruits regularly now. It’s a seedling, about 20 years old. The fruit is generally regarded as excellent by people who have tasted it. Last year they started dropping in mid-March. I finished up with 30 fruit by mid-April. Most of the fruit grew on old branches.

Hi Camo's camp, What did you do to restrict the size of your Nashi, as mine are usually twice that size. I usually look for a colour change to determine maturity then I test drive one. I find that even if I pick it a bit green it is still acceptable to eat - not as sweet, but edible. I think they are definitely worth growing in our area as I get some sort of a crop every year. The tree seems fair...
