Abdulrahman, Saudi Arabia

My name is Abdulrahman Albassam, I am from Saudi Arabia. I studied English at ELS on the campus of California Lutheran University (CLU) and then transferred to the undergraduate program to study Computer Information System. ELS was a pathway towards my education goal. The transition was very easy as I already knew a lot about the campus and community. The people at CLU are very friendly and the campus has a lot of diversity. I have really enjoyed my time here.

Anas Maarorti, Morocco

If a student wants to learn about universities in the USA, I’d say the best place to start is ELS. ELS played a big part in my understanding of universities. I couldn’t make it in my university without my studies at ELS. Another language is very important. Now I have another tool in my head for anything I want to do.

If you are hesitating to choose a language institute, I highly recommend ELS-Cleveland, Ohio. I am so sure ELS-Cleveland is the institute you have been looking for, albeit there are myriads of language institutes in U.S.A. There are several things I want to mention about how great ELS-Cleveland is.

First of all, Cleveland is the best city for you guys t learn English in that the cost of living is pretty cheap comparing with big cities such as Chicago, New York. Therefore you could lighten your financial burden. Unlike countryside, Cleveland has a lot of attractions to expedite American cultures like Art museum, Rock and Roll Fame, Lake Erie, Cedar Point and so on. Additionally people in Cleveland are so friendly that you can get along with people easily. For me, I met unforgettable American friends here so that, even though I graduate from ELS, I could not leave Cleveland for those friends.

Second, after four months of ELS, I went to other language institute for learning English. I took a semester of English program and finally realized how great ELS program was. ELS program is highly systematical and consist of 12 levels. Once you get to 109 level, you will be trained to write an essay per day or have a presentation once a week. Hence, you can get drill yourself intensively, which help you improve your fluency. And the best part of ELS-Cleveland is that I got a great lesson on how to write a paper with MLA style which is regarded as a standard format to write a paper. The teachers taught us what we have to do in college writing and it was really helpful to take a class of English Composition in college. Not only these, administrative staffs in ELS-Cleveland take care of you with full heart. Whenever I had something to talk with, I went to them to get advice. They always have been amiable about students. It is something that, when you are abroad some one really cares about you.

That’s why I highly recommend ELS-Cleveland if you put yourself into the great opportunity to improve your English well. Come to Cleveland!!!
