“The “Colonial” was initially selected for a base to enable us to leave our car and journey to and from Melbourne by train. On arrival we received a very friendly and helpful welcome for our first night stay and was allocated a room that can only be described as more than satisfactory. It’s location is spot on to the shops etc and Railway Station, with all being in easy walking distance. After three nights in Melbourne we stayed a further two nights at the “Colonial” which gave us an opportunity to have a good look at Castlemaine. Were we impressed with the “Colonial” and Castlemaine? Sure were!”
