Self Help Training Group
Objectives: 1. To promote a healthy lifestyle in
our local community. 2. To organise group multisport training
activities for interested parties. 3. To provide an avenue for
camaraderie and to develop a sense of belonging among individuals in the
shared pursuit of sport. 4. To provide an outlet for advanced
participation and competition in a particular sport. 5. To organise group trips to various
sporting events. 6. To organise and attend various
social events. 7. To support and liaise with other
running, triathlon and multisport clubs in our community. 8. To encourage participation in all
multisport activities. 9. To promote fair play and good
sportsmanship at all times. |
At this time we are unincorporated and informal but hope to grow
to the point of becoming an incorporated association in the state of
Queensland. Currently there is no committee nor regular meetings nor membership
lists and since there are no fees there are no financial requirements. Activities
consist of a variety of ad hoc group sessions organised by phone, sms and Facebook (coming soon) where the training
activity is decided by majority vote of those present. If agreement isn’t
reached then we all go off and do our own thing. We generally meet after for
coffee. All
abilities are catered for. Official coaching is not offered nor encouraged.
The major objective is to encourage participation in multisport activities
and have fun doing it. |
