There comes the moment at every party..., where it's time to leave. The guests who have some class, thank the host for his or her hospitality, great time and kindness - and those guests with class go home. They remember the great time they had..., and they... "move on". Where Buffett is concerned, that time has come. Remember the music, the shows, the good times..., but let's "move on". This whole "Buffett everyday thing" is starting to resemble a cash cow that's being worked to death to stretch out every dollar. I was, and still am, a BIG fan. A fan from the early days when there were no "blenders or shakers of salt". Just a good times and great music. But those times are over folks, and Jimmy has left the building. Raise a glass, toast the host, unplug the blender, and say "thanks for the music and all your hard work". Don't be one of those annoying party guests who just can't read the room, or doesn't get the message that it's time to leave and... "move on".

From NOLA.com: Quint Davis on how 2024 Jazz Fest will be 'Buffett-ized' in honor of Jimmy BuffettThe festival's producer/director reminisces about his, and Jazz Fest's, long history with Buffett. The 2024 Jazz Fest will celebrate Buffett’s legacy in a big way.

Jimmy Buffet was an American icon who’s music brought harmony and brotherhood into all our lives for generations. Whether he should have been inducted before his passing is irrelevant now. RRHF needs to do better in the future because we have more aging musicians that need to be inducted before they pass also
I only know part of one song and even I know he should've been in the HOF decades ago!
30+ years late. Would have been nice to have done it when he could enjoy it. He invented a category, “ Caribbean Rock and Roll “. His family, friends and fans will appreciate it and throw a party!

"Everybody knows a line
From his records that cost four ninety-nine
I wonder if he knows he's doin'
Quite this fine"
This induction got me emotionally. With Jimmy not being on the initial ballot this year, I was shocked to see his name on the inductee list. I'm still having a tough time processing the loss, but seeing his name hit me so hard 😊
Wow. I can’t believe it but I feel bitter about this. Like all of a sudden they’ve decided that it will be more marketable for them to jump on the Jimmy Buffett bandwagon and try to capitalize on his death. 😕
Sorry, I'm against it. Not that he doesn't deserve it, but his career and influence spanned over 50 years. They didn't call years ago. This time, I'd let it go to voicemail.
A special moment for everyone at soundcheck on April 11th - a few hours before the show - Zac, the Coral Reefers with Jake and Caroline with Natayla Kay on violin - played 'Pirates and Parrots' for the first time together.
