Walk Italy conducts escorted walks in magical Tuscany. They are an enjoyable and practical way to explore the real Italy that lies beyond the well travelled tourist paths. They take you through the countryside and into towns and villages that most tourists only read and dream about.

Our groups are small and relaxed and are accompanied by informative and friendly guides. Typically they will consist of between eight and ten people with some travelling together and others independently.

In Tuscany we stay in Colle di Val d'Elsa a picturesque hilltop town which lies between Siena and the romantic San Gimignano. Our walks allow you to experience the diversity of landscapes within Tuscany from the Val d'Elsa, the Montagnola Senese and the wide rolling hills of Pienza and on to the breath-taking terrain in Chianti.

We set a deliberately relaxed pace in order to give you the time to soak up the atmosphere of the places visited. We build in plenty of opportunities for you to take the initiative; most days allow time for you to pursue your own interests and two days are set aside for you to undertake an independent exploration of the region. Colle di Val d'Elsa is less than 20kms from Siena and allows easy access across the region including Volterra and Firenze.
