What do we do?

Our aim is to capture stories that otherwise would be lost!

Journalist, oral historian and producer, Louise Darmody, founder of Sound Memories has a real passion for uncovering and sharing exclusive yarns.

Louise would love to help you research, record your stories or stories of those you love so you and future generations can enjoy those yarns forever.

We create your sound memories by recording and or filming those precious stories as either oral histories, radio style documentaries, podcasts or videos on your preferred platform/s for you to share and celebrate with family, friends and colleagues

We carry out the research necessary to ask you relevant, informed and incisive questions that will elicit your remarkable stories.

Feedback from one of our clients

From Ceramida to Chatswood – The Vince Canalese story.
Isabella Hawthorne gave us the honour of recording her dad’s inspirational life story. Like so many millions of people who have migrated to Australia Vince has contributed in so many ways. Vince introduced many meat and three veggie eating Aussies to delicious mediterranean food in the 1950’s.
