- My TV picture pixelates - what is the problem?

If it is satellite TV:
The problem can be caused by: a faulty LNB on satellite dish – they do burn out over time no matter whether Foxtel, VAST etc; a satellite dish not of the appropriate size for the site such as cloud cover, heavy rain, etc; trees growing in front of satellite dish will over time interfere with the signal and relocation of the dish or clearing of foliage can solve the problem.
If it is Free to Air Antenna TV:
The problem could simply be a poor quality antenna or that components have rusted and fallen off. Line of sight between antenna and tower from which it receives signal may become blocked over time by trees. The outdoor amplifier connected to the antenna can deteriorate and no longer be weather-proof resulting in water damage. Recently a common cause are the new 3G and 4G communication towers frequency interfering with signals - this can be identified with a signal tester to determine if a filter fitted to the antenna will resolve the issue.
