Coolawarra Alpaca Farms were founded in 1988 and have exported through Alpaca Exports International for nearly 30 years. These beautiful alpaca farms are located near Sydney in New South Wales and near Melbourne in Victoria. We would like to congratulate our clients for their most recent imports to China and Korea in 2017.

We are one of the largest Alpaca Stud in Australia, established on 8th of August 1988. We are committed to uncompromising commitment to the development of a uniquely Australian Alpaca; refining the best of Old World genetics through the application of New World scientific method. Our herd of outstanding genetics are available in all colours, age and gender.

The alpaca is more than just a noble and enchanting animal. It is also the origin of the exquisite fleece hailed by the ancient as "the fibre of the Gods", highly prized in modern fashion garments. The fleece from our alpacas is used to make a number of top quality products.

When alpacas were first exported from South Americia in 1988, the Australians were quick to sense an opportunity and we at Alpaca Exports International have been at the forefront of the Australian Alpaca Industry ever since, exporting to China and throughout the world.

Cold winters and hot summers are familiar to the alpaca, so Australian climatic conditions are well suited to them. Consequently, alpacas are ideally suited to a wide range of climates and environments, and the demand for alpacas is increasing worldwide.
