LAB is a major contributor to life, society and culture through architecture.
We imagine life first,
Then the experiences we want to co-create,
The spaces that enable them,
The society and culture that strengthens over time.
ABOUT
LAB was established in Brisbane in 2021, with a vision to deliver exceptional projects that contribute to life, culture, and society through architecture.
With over 40 years of collective experience and expertise on many public, university, commercial, and community infrastructure projects, our partners bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. We have a strong portfolio with a proven track record of delivering exceptional architectural projects that have received national and international industry recognition. This experience is leveraged in every LAB project.
We approach every architectural project with the same level of commitment and enthusiasm, no matter the scale. We are passionate about creating architecture that makes a positive impact on society and culture.

12 Creek Street - The Annex
The Annex at 12 Creek Street is a building grounded in its sub-tropical and cultural context, a building designed to be an enabling setting to match contemporary workplace and public needs while connecting with the site’s unique history. The twelve-storey tower now sits as a memorable threshold to Brisbane’s ‘Golden Triangle’ in unison with the fig grove, planted in 1889.

Santos Place is a 36 storey premium commercial office building that demonstrates an alternative
to standard corporate design. On Turbot street, a portico forms a ‘miniature building’ over the footpath and serves a functional and ‘place making’ role for the building, as well as contributing to the network of CBD markers and experiences.

Highpoint - 288 Edward Street
Highpoint at 288 Edward Street is a revitalisation of Bligh Jessop Bretnall's 1972 Jetset House. Folded metallic awnings at street level and across the tower provide a dynamic light and shadow activated façade that contrasts against the off white precast concrete. A double-height lobby uses this new dynamic rhythm to create a new delightful light-filled arrivals sequence.

BVN Brisbane Studio - 12 Creek Street
'Our studio in Brisbane was designed to enhance our culture and aid knowledge transfer within our practice.
This range of spaces covers the full workplace spectrum – formal through to casual settings, individual through to large groups, private and public occasions. A continuous ‘working wall’ links these various parts of the studio and is detailed to communicate project ideas through in-situ drawings, pin-ups, image projection, video conference and model making.
The way we work, what we produce and how we act, represents our place, ideas and values.' BVN
