Wilsons Promontory: The Recovery
17 ImagesLast month 50 scientists from Museum Victoria and 20 rangers from Parks Victoria spent two weeks checking on the status of Wilsons Promontory National Park. They hiked through it, flew over it, drove around it and swam in its waters. They installed nets, nocturnal light stations and other equipment to record the park’s inhabitants. They found a wide diversity of animals and large populations. At the end of the examination, they declared the pulse of the park to be ‘‘strong’’. Here is a selection of some of the stunning pictures taken by Museum Victoria staff.
