Townsville Area Woodturners Association (TAWA) is a not for profit association formed in 1988 to promote the traditional craft of woodturning and the allied pyrography and scroll saw crafts.
Regular workshop meetings are held at the associations workshop in Grosvenor St Pimlico. TAWA opens its facility to members who wish to enjoy the comraderiae of fellow members whilst turning.
TAWA is a major sponsor of the TPA&IA Townsville Show Woodturning competition at the Townsville Show.
