About
Seasoned facilitator across a broad range of content areas with a focus on strategy, collaboration and activation.
My passion is creating triple wins - wins for you, those around you, and the world.
My facilitator role at Customer Central - Sydney Trains - is part of a dynamic team of collaboration specialists who co-design and deliver workshops across Sydney Trains and Transport in NSW.
I've always worked at the intersection between social justice and traction of positive change. I am fascinated not only by what happens but how it happens.
Guided by positive psychology and strengths based methods, I've coached across many sectors and know that often the smallest tweaks can make the biggest impact.
Skilled at engaging and connecting people and projects to build community and strengthen networks for the greater good.
My book, The Mentor Within, is a self-coaching tool, easy to read and full of stories and practical tips about how to become your own best mentor.
Be warned: I have been known to slip dancing or a little bushwalk into my work.

Raised in Apartheid South Africa in a socially conscious family, I cut my teeth on social justice in the prisons & ganglands of Cape Town. long side dedicated colleagues we transformed the juvenile justice system in South Africa at the time of the new Mandela government and set up a diversion program for youth that 21,000 young people attended annually. I was the National Restorative Justice Manager for NICRO (South African National Institute for Crime Prevention & Reintegration of Offenders) and later the Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Media.

What are the best strategies for preventing conflicts during a team workshop?
As a facilitator it is not my role to avoid conflicts but to do the following three things when they arise: - hold the space - keep everybody safe - amplify the issues emerging and help to move towards workable solutions. Holding the space and keeping everybody safe go hand in hand with the advice others have shared, to co-design what happens in the room and create ways of working that everyone agrees to. Amplifying the issues, depersonalising them so we can deal with issues and not people, and moving towards workable outcomes ensures that we've used the conflict to enrich the outcomes rather than hurt people.
