Frequently Asked Questions from Australian Private Sellers and Landlords

The advertisement costs on Owner.com.au for selling or renting your property depend on the property type. You can start marketing a property for sale from $699 and for lease from $149. These prices cover GST and any standard delivery charges where needed. Rest assured, we have no hidden charges or ongoing fees, and most importantly, we do NOT ask for any COMMISSION whatsoever when you sell or lease.

Generally, it takes around 2 weeks to 3 months to sell a property and typically no longer than 16 days to lease one out (in the present scenario, most properties are rented within a week or even at the first viewing). Nonetheless, we understand that each property and each local market has its unique aspects. Our goal is to help you achieve the highest possible price, regardless of how long that may take. Hence, at Owner.com.au, we impose no time constraints at all! Your advertisement will remain active until your property is either sold/leased or removed from the market.

Absolutely NO commission whatsoever when you sell or lease your home. Just mark your advertisement as sold or leased, then enjoy all the savings.

You have control over your campaign! You can modify any section of your listing, with the exception of the address. These edits can be made anytime, 24/7, through your Owner.com.au account. Your changes/edits will then be updated on all the websites your listing is on. Additionally, we will monitor any edits you make to ensure they remain free from errors and comply with the relevant real estate regulations and the terms and conditions of third-party platforms.

When selling a home on your own, the mandatory paperwork is prepared by either a solicitor, conveyancer, or settlement agent, just like it would be with a commission-based agent. Your only responsibility is to sign the documents, either online or at your solicitor's office (depending on your chosen solicitor). If you don't have a conveyancer already, we can help find a suitable one near you.

As for property rentals, simply complete the designated lease/tenancy agreement for your state and schedule a meeting with the tenant for signing. Tenancy agreements and other essential documents are easily accessible in fact we include in our residential rental packages links to all of the required documents for your state.

If a potential buyer or tenant is interested in your home on sites like realestate.com.au or realestateview.com.au, they can either phone our exclusive buyer/tenant enquiry hotline or make an online enquiry.

Our state-of-the-art technology for enquiries ensures your peace of mind that you will receive ALL enquiries made for your home. The enquiries are forwarded to your designated email inbox instantly and continuously. The enquirer will also receive a confirmation detailing your contact information to facilitate effortless communication. Also, all enquiries are securely stored within your Owner.com.au account for potential future use.

On making a phone enquiry, callers are required to enter your unique Property ID which is displayed on your listing, after which they receive your direct contact number (if you have requested this). Alternatively, some people prefer their phone number not to be provided. Our bespoke enquiry system operates 24/7, ensuring you never miss a potential buyer or tenant. Plus, each time someone phones the enquiry line to retrieve your contact details, an email notification detailing their phone number/caller id is dispatched to you, and the information is stored in your Owner.com.au account. We also offer additional services like SMS notifications when an enquiry has been made.
