As picturesque as this image maybe, it disguises the fact Melbourne’s infrastructure is incredibly fragile and often close to breaking point. A single tram blocks a major intersection, two main roads and numerous tram routes in the middle of the day is embarrassing but this type of event is sadly not unusual.
