Silk Gallery had the talented Cathy Chadwick dress the windows of their Kew Boutique recently. Cathy used a variety of silks, laces, sequined trim and braids to complete her stunning mannequin installations. Cathy has worked in the business for almost 20 years and for the last 6 years has had her own business specialising in window dressing, exhibition design, prop design/construction and interior decoration. We love her colour combinations and can imagine these creations being made up into stunning dresses.

Meet the Team.

Puru and Suman Kanodia began Silk World (the wholesale division) 20 years ago from their home. It's been quite a journey during those 20 years, where they have been fortunate to become Australia and New Zealand's leading Silk and Lace specialists. Puru and Suman travel internationally many times a year to bring back the most current, designer fashion trends for their wholesale and retail stores.

Jane Vandermeer has been with Silk World for 6 years as the VIC, ACT, SA & NZ Agent. Jane has built the wholesale business up to sell to the creme de la creme of Australian designers for their seasonal collections. Jane's clientele list boast names like Toni Maticveski, Metalicus, Alannah Hill, Indigo, Nicolangela, Satch, Gripp, George Gross and Harry Who, Spotlight to name a few. Jane travels extensively for her role as an agent and attended the world reknowned "Premiere Vision" and "Tex World" last August and regularly attends tradeshows and fashion weeks supporting her clients.

Trish Gouvas has been with Silk World for 8 years and has a thorough understanding of the textile industry as well as a great relationship with the Silk World clientele. Jenny Papas balances her work at Silk World with her own couture boutique accessory label Thoxa. Both Trish and Jenny process all the wholesale orders at SilkWorld and work in the wholesale store.
