Australian 2K Team Racing Championship 2024
What a day! After 30 races, the top four teams were tied and all but the final tiebreaker couldn't settle the winner.
In the end Sorrento SCBC 1 won on a countback of points scored from the Derwent Sailing Squadron in second, Sorrento 2 in third and Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron in fourth.
The result is a reflection of the quality of racing, with the result coming down to the last race and the final finishing order requiring the efforts of the Race Committee and the Umpiring Panel to arrive at a winner.
Thanks to all the hard work of the volunteers who made this event possible and for the support of the teams from Sorrento, Blairgowrie, Derwent Sailing Squadron, the ACT and the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania.
