Neil Lithgow
Neil Lithgow has always been passionate about doing special things with his voice! In 2017, he decided to leave the comfort of his career in the Financial Services industry to pursue his love of all things vocal on a more permanent basis.
As a child, Neil received a scholarship to sing in St.Patrick’s Cathedral choir in Melbourne and undertook various theatrical roles there. He also began specialist training in breathing, diction and voice projection at a young age.
Neil graduated from the University of New England with a Commerce Degree, and spent 25+ years in the corporate world, in various finance and project management-related roles. During this time, Neil has continued his love of anything voice-related by conducting numerous corporate presentations, including hosting an annual staff update live in front of 2,000 people, recording online training for financial planners and even voice-embedded explanations of strategy maps.
In 2008, Neil attended “The Presenter’s Voice” – a NIDA weekend intensive course that made him realise that this was his passion and that he wanted to focus more on this industry. In 2009, Neil honed his voice-over skills with renowned voice coach Juliet Jordan and has been quietly building up an impressive and varied portfolio of work ever since.
In 2014, he commenced the first of his regular pub trivia gigs at The Balmain Hotel, and in 2016, added The DOG Hotel, Randwick to his weekly schedule.
In June 2017, Neil hosted his first Friday Drive program on community radio station 2RDJ 88.1FM, and he has also had 2 interview-based shows as well - Community Conversations (2020 - 2022) and Retirement Conversations (2022 - present).
Neil has done a large number of Corporate and Fundraiser Trivia Nights in recent years, as well as “Voice of God” work at conferences.
