Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) has announced that following successful negotiations between ACRRM and James Cook University (JCU), the realignment of general practice training will now be completed by 30 April, with all Queensland registrars commencing their training with the College from 1 May 2024.
Key information for GPRA members:
• Some registrars will be introduced to new training program advisors and/or medical educators. These introductions will begin during the realignment phase, as recruitment has commenced for these roles.
• ACRRM’s Fellowship program will continue as normal, including the same 2024 calendar of education activities, online modules, virtual and face-to-face workshops delivered as planned.
• Access to ACRRM training and education systems, including MyCollege and MyACRRM, will remain the same.
• All registrar training data remains secure within ACRRM systems.
• Registrars will have continued delivery of cultural education in Queensland.
• ACRRM’s Regional Director of Training Matthew French will oversee ACRRM’s education framework, learning outcomes, and resources.
