Being a significant employer in the region for over 30 years and with over 250 employees, we have seen many talented people start their careers within Pierre Properties. Our business spans across hospitality, development and investment - with a long-term focus we have always looked to build lasting relationships with our customers, suppliers and the community. Pierre Properties is part of the wider van Grinsven group of businesses; operating throughout Queensland.
Key Milestones
1984.

Development of the 104 room Southbank Hotel, now Rydges Townsville, initiating the modernisation and development of the Palmer Street Precinct.
1989.

Launch of the Cactus Jack’s restaurant brand, initially starting life as a pop-up to fill an empty property awaiting further development - this funky brand took on a life of its own.
2000.

Development of the Townsville Conference Centre - Palmer St - providing a stylish venue for business events to raise the profile of North Queensland.
2014.

Establishment of the Independent Meat Company, showcasing the excellence of Australian farmers.
