Frank Meza

December 28, 1932 — February 10, 2015

Frank Meza went to the Lord on February 10, 2015. He was born in Nogales, AZ and served in the United States Army earning the medal of Valor. He was an industrial fireman for 36 years with Rockwell International in Anaheim, California. During his retirement he worked for the Deer Valley School District in Glendale, AZ and loved going to baseball and football games (and sometimes even hockey) with his son-in-law, John. He enjoyed making mashed potatoes for the UMOM shelter for Dove of the Desert UMC. He loved his grandkids and enjoyed participating in their activities. For many years he was known as "Santa" and played Santa and donating any money received to the John Wayne Cancer Clinic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Meza in 2008. He is survived by his children: son Mark Meza and wife Rashaan, daughter Lisa Heuft and husband John and Kathy Meza; grandchildren: Crystal, Hillary, Zachary, David and Kaitlyn; two brothers: Leonard and Lawrence Cruz, sister-in-law Martha, sister Anne Ehrmann and her husband Walt, brother-in-law Frank Collins and wife Terry and several nieces and nephews. Inurnment will take place on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 9:45 a.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Cr. Rd., PHX. A Celebration of Frank's life and reception will immediately follow the inurnment service at Dove of the Desert (UMC), 7201 W Beardsley Rd, Glendale, AZ 85308 (623) 572-7334. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate in Frank's memory to Hospice of the Valley Fund Development, 1510 E.
