Welcome to the Daniel Mauser Memorial Website

Welcome to the Daniel Mauser website. It is dedicated to the memory of Daniel Conner Mauser, who was taken from us in the tragic massacre at Columbine High School on April 20th, 1999.

This tragedy has taught us that we must keep Daniel alive in our memories. So we are celebrating the 15 wonderful years of life he shared with us and are sharing how we are honoring his memory.

We believe the world must not dwell on the killers. The world must focus on the victims so that Daniel and the others are not just statistics. Daniel was a living spirit who brought joy to the lives he touched.

This is a new version of the website.  The software for the original site became obsolete, so I was unable to update it in any way since 2017.  This new version has many of the same stories, but also new material and now with many photos not used before. We’re happy to offer this new version, for much has happened in our lives since I last updated the previous version:

  • Our daughter Christine got married
  • We became grandparents!!!
  • Our adopted daughter, Madeline, graduated from high school with honors
  • Colorado has passed even more significant gun reform laws

Unlike the earlier website version, which was written mostly in third person, the content here is written in first person by me, Daniel’s father, Tom.

A good place to start to learn about Daniel and his legacy is to watch video of him. You can watch it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIz0ixdLFA0 on YouTube.
