We received this email from one of our long-time customers last month.

On this date 20 years ago 8/4/2004 I took my first Jabiru aircraft from Bundaberg it was a sp6 .I have since sold it after buying a J160D some 5 years ago. While still flying the sp6 I had the J160 stored in my shed for almost 2years, the engine was in need of major repair, so I opted for a new generation 4 engine. I have enjoyed a little over 2000 flight hours between the two aircraft. A big “THANK YOU“ to all the crew at Jabiru Aircraft past and present for the service and advice all these years. I have just done a 375 hour service on my Gen 4 engine and am loving it thus far. Hoping to continue to average 100 hours per year for some time yet as a private pilot Rod M.

Rodknee is an aviation tragic and one of the most helpful people I have come across. He is passionate about his Jab and flies it as often as the weather permits. He is part of the silent majority who loves what this Australian built treasure has given to so many of us.

A fun little airplane, for sure! ❤️

I think they are a great aircraft regardless of the sometimes bad reputation. Does your gen 4 have the fuel injection?

It’s the best feeling to pick up a new aircraft! How many aircraft do you guys build a year out of interest?

Congratulations, I loved my Jabiru, a beautiful thing to fly and super forgiving. ❤️

Good on you Colin, you’ll love it!
