Welcome

Our club is located in the NSW Southern Highlands in the beautiful village of Bundanoon with members coming from across the Highlands to play. Croquet is a game for all ages and can be played by everyone regardless of ability level. It provides moderate levels of physical exercise with a fair amount of mental stimulation. Visitors are always welcome; we have equipment that can be borrowed, and you are asked to wear soft soled shoes.

The Committee met on Sunday 2 July and agreed we would start a Hole in One board, thanks Amy Press for the idea. So, if you are lucky enough or clever enough to score a hole in one write you name on the card and add to the board in the kitchen.

Winterfest Raffle

The raffle was drawn Saturday 4th June and the winning ticket was ticket no 242 belonging to Jonathon Chen. Second prize was ticket no 386 belonging to Peter. Congrats to both our winners and hope Jonathon and family enjoy Winterfest.

World Croquet Day

On Sunday 7th May we celebrated World Croquet Day with a quick three rounds and first to four with different partners. The winner was Di Curtis with a perfect score of 12. We then enjoyed a barbeque out of the icy wind and a warming red wine.

As you can see by all the coats, it was an icy day, with snow falling across many parts of the Highlands later in the day.

Thank you Malcolm Powys

Thanks Malcolm for another great coaching session, wishing you great play at the Australian Golf Croquet Open Doubles

Lawn booking system

Our new lawn booking system is live! This is for all bookings outside of Club afternoons. An email was sent to all members giving you your log on details, when you log on for the first time please change your password. A new page has been added to the website which has the link to the booking system, instructions for use and the conditions of using the lawns. The bookings system can be used to register your attendance at coaching sessions, ladies day and for social activities.

Interclub morning with Exeter

It was a hot Saturday so we had a three short ‘best of seven’ games matched with an Exeter partner, our winner was Teresa with 12 points. Thinking a fun morning was had by all and we will work on a suitable reciprocal date very soon.

Our Top Lawn ready for re-opening

Today Steve, Peter & Teresa sprayed both lawns for weeds & marked out the top lawn ready for play. Huge thank you to all who have worked so hard. Special thank you to the wonderful Neville who was there with his endless help & fabulous knowledge, advising us on spraying and the use of equipment. Both lawns are a bit long & shaggy at the moment but are due to be cut next week. This is good as we shouldn’t mow directly after spraying, watering has stopped also until after mowing next week. How exciting! Play can return to top lawn on Sunday 5/2.

Raffle

Our sold-out Raffle was drawn Sunday 18th December at the Bundanoon Club. First prize is a night at the Ibis at Barangaroo, won by ticket no 44 and the winner was Steve Watson. Second prize is a hamper with lots of local produce, won by ticket no 102 and the winner is Ross Capener. Congratulations to both, a huge thank you to everyone who brought a ticket or three and thanks to Trish for all work arranging.

Fun Festive celebrations held at the Club

Thank you Malcolm, Judy & Steve from Marrickville Croquet Club

Croquet Club members would like to say a huge thank you to Malcolm Powys, Judy & Steve for a fabulous coaching session on Thursday 1 December for members and new players. We all learnt so much and am sure jump shots will be happening more on our greens and perhaps a little more accuracy, THANK YOU 🙂
