Beckleys Transport & Logistics recently completed a Commercial Removal for a client wishing to relocate their offices. This move included some printing equipment weighing about 1/2 tonne each. These printers were to be located upstairs at the new location. With the right PROFESSIONAL equipment, Beckleys Transport & Logistics were able to successfully complete this move along with all other office items. Preparation is the key to a stress free environment on your ‘Removal Day’. Something as simple as saving some car spaces out the front of your house on the morning of the removal can make the job so much easier. Quite often our clients don’t have big enough driveways to cater for ‘off-street’ parking for the truck, so our suggestion is to reserve some car spaces out the front of your property the night before by parking your own cars there.

This way when the removalist arrive you can simple move your car somewhere else whilst freeing up the space for the truck. It would be ideal to have two or three car spaces reserved if possible to allow adequate space for the truck and ramp.

This tip is useful at both the pick up address and the destination address. It can be a good idea to politely ask your neighbours to do the same thing for you at the destination address.

Clients moving to and from the Geelong West area and other Geelong suburbs with narrow streets and limited off street parking should consider this on their day of moving.

A Great Tip to Save Time & Money When Moving!

One of the most time consuming aspects of moving can be organising which items need to go where! This is especially relevant when scaling down and moving some of your items into storage and some into your new home.

At most jobs we find that it helps to have someone dedicated to the job and telling us where the items we are loading into the truck will likely end up in the new house, and likewise directing us at the other end. However, this is not always the best use of your time on the day of moving.

A great tip that will save you time, the removalist time and therefore you money, is to purchase some coloured sticky labels and put them on the pieces of furniture you need in a specific location. For example: All furniture with green stickers needs to go into storage.

This method has been proven to save lots of time on the day of moving especially when there are multiple locations involved. It is also a quick and easy task that can be done the night before the removalist arrive.

So if you are moving and want to make it as easy and efficient as possible, something as simple as some little coloured stickers could save you time and money!!!
