This web
site was
originally created by Matthew Hoare back in 1999 on
behalf of the members of 161 Recce Association.
The site is now under the management of Russ
Graham, assisted by Len
Avery.
The purpose of this
web site is to not only preserve the history of 161
Recce Flt and 161 Recce Sqn, but also to provide an
insight into the function of the 161 Recce
Association.
The web site also
provides an avenue for those who have served in the Recce
Flight or the Squadron to maintain contact with
those they served with and the opportunity to
follow the progress of the current 161 Recce Sqn.
Sections of
the 161 Collection are currently on display in the
Museum
of Australian Army Flying (MAAF), along with samples of all the aircraft that
the Flight operated in Vietnam. Eventually, all
of the 161 History and Collection will be held and
displayed in the Museum.
Whilst all care has
been taken to ensure that the information contained in
this web site is accurate, it remains
subject to amendment. We welcome any assistance that
may improve the accuracy and content of the web site.
