Kate has practiced meditation and yoga over many years. She is a fully qualified yoga teacher, having studied with Byron Yoga Centre and completed additional training from teachers including A.G. and Indra Mohan. She has participated in professional training retreats and workshops led by internationally-renowned teachers in mindfulness including Jon Kabat-Zinn. Kate has also studied anatomy, physiology, and functional movement. She is a member of Yoga Alliance.
Her approach in yoga teaching is to facilitate an experience that deepens each person’s self-awareness, wellbeing and vitality. Developing non-judgmental attention and connection with the body, breath, thoughts and emotions is part of this mindful approach. She emphasises safety and proper alignment to ensure students maximise the physical benefits of yoga.
