Hazard Perception Test


The Hazard Perception Test checks that you can recognize and react to various traffic hazards such as other vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.

Hazard Perception Test

- To attempt the hazard perception test, you must be at least
17years and 11 months of age.
- The test results are valid for 12 months. You must do this
test before you attempt the Drive Test.If you don't pay for
your licence within 12 monthsor passing, you will have to sit
the test again.
- To get your probationary licence you must pass the Hazard
Perception Test.

Hazard Perception Test Introduction

- During the test you will watch 28 short videos taken from a
driver's point-of-view. For each video you must indicate
when you would react if you where the driver(e.g slow
down or start to turn).
- Your responses will be assessed in terms of safety.
- You have 45 minutes to complete the test.
- A score of 54% or more is needed to pass.

Test you online with a sample test. You will need to install files onto your computer to try the sample test. On-screen instructions will guide you through the installation process.
