INDUSTRY TRADE BUREAUX
WHAT ARE THEY?
Meetings at which representatives of a particular
industry meet to discuss and disclose information on customers they
are dealing with. Meetings are held quarterly,bi-monthly or monthly.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

WHAT IS YOUR OBLIGATION?
• To contribute to the content of the meeting.
• To participate openly.
• To be honest in your responses.
• To ensure complete confidentiality of information exchanged.
• To commit to regular attendance.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
Each member forwards a list of accounts for discussion and a summary
of this is supplied prior to the meeting. The member then makes
notes on accounts that he can comment on. The meeting is conducted
as an around the table discussion and is convened by an independent
chairperson.
WHAT WE OFFER?
• A full secretarial service on Trade Bureaux.
• Guest speakers on topics nominated by Members of the Bureau.
• Financial Members receive access to the TBA Web site and
are able to search the Trade Reference Data Base.
TBA ensures that meetings are run in a professional manner with
adherence to all the legal requirements of Industry Credit Bureaux.
