Major achievement: Development of a process to engage market researchers and other consultants to develop Australia's first national marketing strategy for vocational education and training.

The project: The national vocational education and training system had been concerned for some years with the development of a training culture in industry and the community, but significant progress had not been made despite several initiatives. We worked with senior officers to use successful social marketing approaches as the basis for creating a training culture. We specified the development process of a national marketing strategy, wrote background papers, advised in the management of consultancies and reviewed key documents.
