Major achievement: The development of a comprehensive package of training and assessment resources, aiming to meet the needs of industry, enterprises, trainers, assessors, trainees, apprentices and students.
The project: The entertainment industry training package is arguably the biggest single training initiative ever to hit the entertainment industry. It is a unique program to provide, for the people who make up the industry, all the tools to learn industry relevant skills, have them assessed and obtain a nationally recognised qualification.
Working with industry representatives and enterprises, we researched sixteen learning resources for use in on the job training, covering competency standards in the package. Each resource explains the standard, provides key underlying information, and sets activities that can be used both for training and for the collection of evidence of competence.
We also researched and wrote an overview booklet for the whole package, a guide for trainers and a guide for assessors, and a professional development course.
