Pink Rehau pipes have an oxygen barrier to prevent corrosion in the pump and boiler.

Pink Rehau pipes are best laid in a spiral pattern for even distribution of heat within the slab. Different zones within the home can be individually controlled. Joins in the pipework should be avoided, and 200mm spacing is typical.

Insulation of the slab is critical to the success of a hydronic system. On this job, polystyrene "waffle pods" are used. But note the lack of edge insulation. The builder will need to come along later and try to install extruded polystyrene sheeting up against the outer edge of the slab to avoid heat leaking away. This is not ideal.
