Principal  

Richard Udovenya, B.Com, LL.B, Grad Dip.App., F.Fin, AusIMM, AICD, is a founding partner of the firm and heads our corporate and commercial law practice, with a specialist focus on natural resources. Richard brings to the firm and its clients almost 30 years’ broad experience as a lawyer.  He advises Australian and international clients engaged in exploration and mining for gold, diamonds base metals, and uranium, has travelled to mines around the world on behalf of his clients.  Beyond resources, Richard advises clients active especially in the finance, manufacturing, IT, Defence and property sectors.  He is also a director of a number of listed and unlisted companies in the mining and financial sectors.  Before founding the firm in 1995, Richard was a senior lawyer with two major Australian law firms.

   

Special Counsel  

Alex Lauber, B Eng. (Hons), BA Law, Grad Dip App Fin, has practised law since 1995 and is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer with a track record gained in major law firms and in-house roles, including as General Counsel of an ASX listed corporation. 

Alex advises clients on corporate transactions including acquisitions & disposals, technology commercialisation and outsourcing. He is  experienced in advising Boards on compliance issues under the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules. 

With growing demand in the renewable energy and sustainability sector, Alex has applied his experience to assist clients in the carbon and sustainability fields.


Consultant  

Robert Pritchard is the Sydney-based head of ResourcesLaw International Associates, our affiliated consulting firm. He is also the Executive Director of the Energy Alliance of Australia. Robert provides specialist advisory services to governments and corporations on energy policy, energy investment, project financing and risk management. Robert has been a consultant to the APEC Energy Working Group on a number of international studies, including cross-border power, cross-border gas projects, electricity industry reform and energy security. In 1982, Robert was the founding chairman of the Section on Energy Law of the International Bar Association. He is closely associated with the London-based World Energy Council and served as a member of its Finance Committee for 9 years until 2007. Robert is a member of the Advisory Committee of the CSIRO Energy Transformed Flagship Program.
