Q Engineering is a wholly owned Australian company formed in 1973. Originally the sole distributor of Thorn UK lightning products, Q Engineering evolved into the manufacturing sector.
Manufacturers of commercial dimming systems in Australia at the time was non existent. All lighting control products were imported either from UK or the US. This left a great opportunity for Q Engineering to apply local technology to fill a market requirement.
In the initial stages, Q Engineering was mainly involved with theatrical & television applications. As time went on, architectural dimming became more popular and received more attention from Q Engineering
