Pet minding - The perfect alternative to kennels and catteries

Pets of any kind can get very upset and even traumatised at just the inkling that you are going away, or even worse having to face that daunting trip to the kennel or cattery. When they arrive at these places they can be stuck in a cage surrounded by people, smells and noises they don’t know, fed food they don’t like and may even catch kennel cough or other sicknesses.

Pitter Patter Paws can ensure your pets are kept safe and to the same routine as usual, by coming and doing daily visits once or twice a day to your home, or we can even do sleep overs to ensure you pet doesn’t miss you too much.

Daily visits include: Feeding and filling water bowls, watering plants, collecting mail, giving medication (this is where vet nurse expertise is essential), changing kitty litter or pooper scooping, rotating curtains and lights to give that lived in look, and of course lots of cuddles and attention.

Sleep overs include: All of the above, plus if it is a dog we are looking after, we ensure your dog is either taken with us for the day in the Pitter Patter Paws van, or taken for a walk each day. Pitter Patter Paws will stay at your place and ensure your same daily routine is followed as closely as possible. This service is perfect for but not limited to a household of one or more animals.

It is convenient, cost effective and has the added benefit of ensuring your home and pet(s) is kept secure and safe while you are away.

As with dog walking, before you make a booking for pet minding, Summer will meet with you at your home to ensure we all trust and like each other, fill out a quick questionnaire and assess which service better fits your requirements. Summer can occasionally mind small dogs at her house upon special request.

Pet minding requires a non refundable deposit of 20% at the time of booking.
