Pontville Software specialises in software solutions for Local Government. In this role, he provides quality expertise in all spheres of the Information Technology arena, ranging for Systems Administration (Windows NT), Network Administration (NT, TCP/IP), PC Support (Hardware and Software) to Software Development.

Scott has been using "Computers" since 1975. He undertook Computer Studies at the Hobart Matriculation College under the astute guidance of Mr Roger McShane, probably his life's most influential teacher. There, he learnt BASIC, dabbled in PDP-8 assembler and discovered an aptitude for computers, in particular software development, that he still possesses today.

In 1977, he commenced work with the Tasmanian State Government, where he specialised as a programmer until he left their employment in 1984. From that employment, he gained invaluable experience in Systems Analysis and Design and Software Development. He took up working for Local Government, where he still works today.

Scott has over 25 years of Information Technology experience and brings to the table a wealth of knowledge and versatility when it comes to helping users resolve their IT issues.

Scott is proficient in COBOL, FORTRAN and now, more importantly, Microsoft Visual Basic. He has been developing applications in Visual Basic since 1993, starting with Visual Basic version 3.0. He now uses Visual Basic version 6.0 Enterprise Edition, and builds COM based products.
