Ofer Fridberg, Managing Director at Planning Horizon Australia, has been working in the town and regional planning field more than 25 years, gaining a comprehensive international and Australian experience, mostly within the private sector.
Ofer acquired Tertiary qualifications and Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning. He accomplished the ability to handle and moderate stressful situations in relation to development conflicts and performed extensively within management and coordination of strategic and statutory planning professional teams.
Ofer was involved extensively with project management, statutory planning, spatial and land-use planning, development and assessment of strategic planning alternatives, environmental planning and tourism planning. The scope of the projects he was involved with ranges from small urban developments through to large scale subdivisions and infrastructure projects.
Ofer’s responsibilities at previous employers including KLM Spatial, SMEC Urban and Hellier McFarland, included the management of statutory and strategic planning projects, such as planning scheme amendments, planning permit applications for residential and industrial subdivisions, and development plans.
In the course of his work he consults with Council town planners, Government departments and specialist sub-consultants/ project team members on behalf of clients. Ofer has performed many planning and land use feasibility assessments and due diligence investigations. He regularly advises clients in identifying planning issues with the aim to achieve the best possible outcomes.
