Christmas Parade Float snow Idea?

We are going to be in the local Christmas parade this year:D. There is not a real theme to follow. We are just a local school club joining this year. We are leaving the religious themes to the churches and we were told not to include Santa on our float because he would be on another one. We are doing a gingerbread type house with candies hanging around and things like that. The kids will have on Santa hats or elf hats. We were wondering how to get it to look like the bottom of our float where the kids will be sitting could look like snow. I was thinking about that stuff that you find in pillows. Not even sure where you buy it. Any suggestions or ideas would be wonderful!

Any craft/sewing store like Hancock Fabrics or Jo-Ann will have poly fill which is the stuff you find in pillows. It comes in a big plastic bag and would work well, however I would also probably spray it with some glittery paint so that it completely looks like snow and can't be confused for clouds.

This is a bit off the snow topic but one year we needed a gingerbread house for a play set and a dad did the most realistic icing using colored caulk insulation. He had a chalking gun and found yellow and maybe blue insulation intended to squeeze into tight places land expand. He outline our cardboard house with the stuff and it looked like icing out of,a pastry bag.

I wonder if you have a business that would have foam, Styrofoam, scraps, that they would love to get rid of--- even white packing peanuts (you could put in large clear bags).
