Our Procedure

1. Replace all broken tiles

Damaged, broken or chipped tiles are replaced with brand new tiles to help stop leaks and other damage occurring. Because we do a full re-coat on your roof, you don’t need to worry about these tiles looking out of place by being less faded and new.

2. Scrub & Clean - High pressure blast the entire roof

We strip back years of dirt and grime from your roof, using our state-of-the-art high pressure cleaning equipment. Whether it’s to prepare for re-painting or just to give your tiles a natural spruce up, you’ll be amazed at the results that can be achieved.

3. Re-bed ridge capping where necessary

The ridge caps on your roof refer to the tiles which join two faces of your roof. These are secured by a cement bed and have a flexible pointing compound applied over the top, which expands and contracts with weather conditions and minimal house movement, to keep your ridge capping securely in place.

While some companies will do a simple “patch up” job on these tiles to save time, we promise you’ll never get that with us. We will conduct a thorough assessment on all your roof tiles to ensure they are still in perfect condition. If required, we’ll replace and re-bed them rather than “patch up”, so you can be confident that your roof is completely secure for years to come.

4. Secure - Apply flexible pointing to all capping

Roof pointing holds your ridge caps down and also eliminates moisture which can build up in your roof and rot ceilings. Roof re-pointing is the applying of material to the side of the ridge cap, to help hold all your ridges together.

The re-bedding & pointing of your roof tiles usually needs to be done every 10-12 years depending on conditions.

5. Re-coat & Paint - Apply 3 coats of Nutech roof coating

Applying 3 coats of Nutech’s amazing roof coating will do wonders to any roof. The first coat we apply is the Primer sealer coat, which is a specially formulated to create a good base and make an adhesive surface for the colour coats to bond to. Then we apply the 2 coats of the colour of your choice. All of our roof coatings are guaranteed not to peel, flake or fade.
