Queen Victoria Market

513 Elizabeth St, Melbourne VIC 3000‎ - (03) 9320 5822‎

The markets have a great atmosphere and the food selection is amazing. The historical Queen Victoria Market is visited by most tourists for its lively yelling spruikers in the seafood and meat department, colourful and aromatic fruit and vegetable section and the great variety of the delicatessen hall.

The deli section is huge and is an experience just to walk around. Aromas form styles of cheeses, pastas, relishes, olive oils and breads form all over the world stimulate the senses. The fruit and vegetable section is over several aisles and is filled with an abundance of fresh varieties and includes an organic area. If you are looking for souvenirs this is a good place to start along with the large array of clothes, bags, shoes, crockery etc. Queen Victoria Market truly is a market that has everything from clothes to Chocolate and all that's in between.

Operates Tuesdays and Thursdays from 06:00 am to 02:00 pm, Fridays from 06:00 am to 06:00 pm, Saturday from 06:00 am to 03:00 pm and Sunday from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm.

South Melbourne Market‎

322 Coventry St, Melbourne VIC 3205‎ - (03) 9209 6295‎

South Melbourne Market is like a mini version of the Queen Victoria Market. It is far more intimate and is frequented by the locals in the area. So if you want to sample a market but would prefer not to walk so much, this is the market for you. This market a fabulous range of the freshest and highest quality foods and Deli items and a small range of clothes, gifts, home wares etc. A morning in the South Melbourne Market, followed with a famous Dim Sim or a meal in one of the street side cafes is one of my favourite things to do.

Opening Hours Wed 8am-4pm Fri 8am-5pm Sat 8am-4pm Sun 8am-4pm.

Southbank Sunday Market

This market is held every Sunday next to the Art Centre in St. Kilda Rd. There is a wide range of some of the highest quality local art and crafts sold at this market. All the product is new and is very much a showcase of the local Melbourne artistic talent. Southbank Market is a perfect place to find that unusual but very Melbourne gift to give or take home as a special memory. Sample the home cooked food and enjoy a stroll for a most enjoyable Sunday outing.

Williamstown's Craft Market

On the 3rd Sunday of every month, Williamstown has a great little craft market right next to the pier in the local park. Williamstown Craft Market is all handmade and sold by local craftsman. This is great for when you want to take home an authentic souvenir or a unique birthday present for someone special. Many restaurants and cafe's are within 50 meters; so wonder through the market and stop for lunch in this little historical port.
