Apples in the Enterprise

Trevor Pott tells us that Apple Macs are ready for the enterprise. Well, having used and supported them in a mixed environment between 1989 and 2001, that doesn’t come as a complete surprise to me. Nevertheless, his survival guide in The Register does suggest that it’s easier to get Apples and PCs to play nicely than it was when support was in my job description, and I have to admit I don’t see much in the way of integration and interoperability problems in my own office these days. Anyway, a good read if you’re considering mixing it up or are faced with an influx of fruity BYOD devices – as long as they’re OS X devices rather than iOS, which isn’t considered on this occasion.
