My inspiration comes from the human body, it’s movements and contours; and I particularly enjoy exploring the emotional responses between friends, lovers and mother/child relationships. Movement, grace and a natural flow are of utmost importance. Soft curves contrast with sharp ridges and angular planes. The sculptures are designed to allow the changing light and shadow appear to alter the forms at different times of the day.

I choose to work mainly with clay and limestone as they are such diverse mediums – the hard pristine stone contrasting with the soft yielding clay, each possessing a unique quality and integrity. The use of various types of stone dust, oxides, glazes, molten metals, etc enables a variety of surface finishes imitating organic nature, glass, metal and more. All pieces are individually designed and sculpted.

Varying in size from small to lifesize, sculptures can be designed specifically for corporate or private spaces, for either interior or garden/courtyard settings, with many being suitable for both.

My work is my passion - my aim is to create sculptures imbued with emotion and sensitivity.
