IRONBARK RIDGE ALPACAS

Ironbark Ridge Alpacas is located in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Mountains. In early 2013 we decided that we would take the opportunity to move from our 10 acres in Kurrajong property, to a new 25 acre property in Tennyson.

We have a lot of work to do to bring it up to our standard, but it has some good basic infrastructure. We have built a new shed, and are in the process of digging trenches for animal water and irrigation pipes. So please bear with us whilst we work on these improvements... though we are always happy to answer your animal enquiries.

We founded Ironbark Ridge Alpacas in 2003 in the historic Hawkesbury District, north west of Sydney. We have been involved in the Australian alpaca industry since 1995. Always up for a challenge we started a family for 2007, so now with 2 children, two dogs, three cats, two donkeys and 42 alpacas, we need to sell some animals.

We have always liked having a range of colours in the herd so take a look to see if there is one that suits your preference. We pride ourselves on our “personal touch” with our animals, many not only having their registered name but also a “nickname”.

Our website is in its infancy but we have included some of our female (hembra), male (macho), and pet/wether alpacas. Please take a few minutes to have a look at our site. In addition to the alpacas you will notice a section for - perhaps arguably - what we are better known for:

We pride ourselves with being “animal people”. Our kids are growing up interacting and caring for animals just as we did. Whilst we are in the industry to be financially successful, we have always embraced opportunities to educate and provide the opportunity for others to simply meet, and interact with these gorgeous animals.

We will always ensure the welfare of our animals comes first. We will always ensure that our customers are given the support needed, and we will always ensure that any question - no matter how silly it may seem - is answered.

In May 2011 2MMM (Triple M) ventured out and visited us in the foothills of the Blue Mountains to film some of our animals (and us) for HP and Microsoft’s
 Grow My Business Awards.
