hypnotherapy melbourne

Session Information and Fees

How long are the sessions?
The initial session is 2 hours. This includes taking a detailed client history, in-depth counselling on the issue/s, and hypnotherapy tailored to you. At the end of the session there is time for discussion.

Subsequent sessions are approximately 1 to 1.5 hours in duration, involving further counselling and individualised hypnotherapy.

How many sessions will I need?
Some issues can be cleared within one session, however, a second session is recommended to reinforce changes and address any problems that may have arisen. For more deep-rooted problems, it really depends on the individual and the complexity of the issue. However, when compared to traditional counselling models, hypnotherapy is a much faster solution to getting well.

What is the cost?
The initial two hour session is $200. Subsequent 1 to 1.5 hour sessions are $130

How to pay
Payment can be made by cash, EFTPOS and all the major credit cards.

Can I claim a Health Fund Rebate?
No is the short answer.

Cancellations
Please give a least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Another person needing help may be able to utilise your time slot if you are unable to attend.

Confidentiality
Everything that is discussed in the therapy session is completely confidential, with the following exceptions.

  •  As a professional hypnotherapist and member of the Australian Hypnosis Alliance I attended supervision with an accredited hypnotherapy supervisor. Within this consultation, details of client treatment and presenting symptoms are discussed, however details regarding identity of the client (e.g. name, address etc.) are omitted. Supervision helps to ensure that clients receive the best possible treatment, and is a standard professional practice.
  •  In rare cases my files may be subpoenaed for court use, where a client has become involved in legal proceedings which directly relate to his/her mental state. In such cases, I am bound by law to allow access to the client file, however only information which is relevant to the proceedings is disclosed. Other information contained within the file is suppressed.
  • If a client discloses a plan to seriously harm themselves or other individuals, I am bound by professional duty to protect. This duty is aimed at utilising my professional judgement to protect the welfare of the client and the wider community at all times. After some discussion with the client this may involve suicide prevention strategies, a warning to persons I believe to be threatened, or in extreme cases, disclosure to the police or other authorities
