BUSINESS CASES

It is critical to undertake an holistic evaluation and assessment of the feasibility of a new venture or large capital expenditure prior to investing time and effort into the growth idea. At IPFinancials, we understand this need and able to draw on our considerable experiences to help management team to craft their Business Case, test the underlying Business Model and evaluate the strategic opportunity with comprehensive financial analysis.

CASE STUDY

When a Government client wanted to streamline and improve the services of its support functions...

We developed a Business Case recommending the establishment of a Shared Services Centre

The challenge

Our Middle East based government client was seeking to streamline its IT and HR support services across its 4 operating units. They needed an evaluation of shared services solution; detailing its current state challenges, identify areas for improvement, an assessment of quantitative and qualitative benefits, and recommend a shared service model and strategy

How we helped?

Collaborating with a global consulting team to set-up an internal Transformation organisation, IPFinancials was responsible for evaluating Shared Services as an option and develop a Business Case with the baseline implementation road map.

The Business Case included a current state analysis, evaluation of alternate operating models, detailed assessment of proposed governance and organizational models, a financial model, an implementation plan and evaluation of risk and associated mitigating action plans. We also provided important baseline information for a transition plan from the current state to the target-operating model.

Value delivered

We provided our client with an assessment of the challenges that they confront under the current operating model, recommended a Shared Services Centre as the target operating model and outlined an implementation roadmap.

"A strong delivery orientation with an eye for detail and an understanding of the business complexities and cultural subtleties faced by the team."
