Rani and Maalu found themselves dumped as tiny kittens at a local shelter. It was kitten season, so the shelter was inundated with babies. Time and again they were overlooked by prospective families. By the time they reached nine months of age, shelter life was starting to take its toll. Their future was not looking bright and they new nothing of life outside of a cage. Harmony Reins decided to provide them with permanent homes, and the opportunity to thrive in a family environment.
Now four years old, both cats have developed very different personalities. Rani is lazy and never wants to go outside. He seems to believe that the garden contains kitty-eating monsters, and he is not going to subject himself to that! He will only leave the safety of the house when it is absolutely necessary! He is also a real foodie. He appreciates every meal as though he has not eaten for a week and it is his last meal EVER. He is the only cat that we have ever known to eat his crunchies by the mouthful.
Maalu on the other hand, loves exploring outside. He is super affectionate and enjoys cuddles with people, horses and dogs! He will always come for a walk around the boundaries to check the fences and will happily supervise any activity happening on the farm.
