Harry Meyn Foundation was founded by David & Samantha Meyn in memory of their son Harry who lost his life to a brain tumor at the age of seven. The foundation was initially established to raised funds for other childrens cancer charities including; Camp Quality, Kids with Cancer, Cure for Life & Lifehouse at RPA. In 2011 the foundation established Harry's House Family Retreat at Stockton, a retreat for families that have a child living with cancer or families that have lost a child to cancer and in 2014 established Harry's House Mobile Retreat. Since opening in 2011, Harry's House has helped many families when their child is diagnosed with cancer and families that are grieving for a child that they have lost to cancer.
The foundation is a registered charity with the Australian Taxation Office.

Our Board
David Meyn – Director and CEO
David is currently employed by PBE Rutherford as Managing Director. Previously he was an Operations Manager with PowerServe, a Project Manager and trade electrician. David has a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and is a Trade Qualified Electrician. David is the father of Harry Meyn.
Mark Daniels – Director & Chairman
Mark is currently employed by Borg Manufacturing as the Planning and Development Manager. Mark previosuly held roles with PCB Surveyors as a Planning Manager and Buildev as a Development Manager. Prior to this he was a self employed Town Planning Consultant, and a Town Planner with local Council’s at Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Maitland and Cessnock. Mark has a Degree in Urban and Regional Planning through the University of New England.
Matthew Tranter – Director
Matthew is the principal of Tranter Lawyers which was established in 2000. Matthew has a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Newcastle and Diploma in Law from Legal Practitioners Admission Board.
Samantha Meyn – Fundraising Co-ordinator
Sam is currently a stay at home mum and volunteer of The Harry Meyn Foundation. Sam has previously been an Office Administrator and Customer Service Officer. Sam is the mother of Harry Meyn.
Steve Meyn – Advisory Committee Member
Steve is currently Chairman of PKF Australia Chartered Accountants (formally Lawler Partners). He has been a Director since 2003 and has been with the firm since 1989. Steve has a Commerce Degree through the University of Newcastle and is a Chartered Practising Accountant.
The Harry Meyn Foundation pays its respect to the late Troy Beavis who was a Director since the beginning. Troy will never be forgotten for his contribution and friendship.
