Golf Day a Great Success
Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 3:56PM The 2014 Harry Meyn Memorial Charity Golf Day held on Friday at East's Golf & Leisure was a great success with 45 teams playing and the event raising just over $44,000 for Harry's House. 24/7 Pit Express took out the 4 man ambrose event that was proudly sponsored by the Rutherford Group.
A huge thanks to Angelo Di Stefano and Peter Ryan from the Rutherford Group for their ongoing sponsorship of the event, Tyree Transformers for their sponsorship of the Hole in One Prize and Hunter Honda for providing the Honda Jazz car, the many hole sponsors, participants, volunteers and very generous people that provided prizes or bought auction prizes on the day.
A special mention to Tim Peters from Peters Real Estate for his very generous donation in memory of Harry Hoffman a wonderful 19 year old local boy who recently very sadly passed away suddenly, our thoughts and prayers are with his family and many friends.
Thanks to everyone for making this day the great day that it is, the people of Maitland and The Hunter sure know how to support a local charity and local families in our community.

Mobile Retreat on the Road
Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 7:43AM Harry’s House Mobile Retreat is on the road following a launch at Newcastle Museum on 9th October. The mobile retreat is a 6 birth Avida motorhome and includes accommodation for 6, full kitchen, shower, toilet, dining area, air conditioning, BBQ, outdoor awning and bike rack. The motorhome is available to families that have a child living with cancer and is also available to families grieving the loss of a child to cancer during the past two years.
Harry's House Mobile Retreat would not have been possible without a $100,000 donation from the Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation along with donations and support from many other businesses and individuals. A special mention to Andrew Carraro from Carraro Design Management for his generosity in providing the very creative eye catching artwork for the motorhome.
The mobile retreat will be a unique holiday experience for the many families that we support and will compliment Harry's House Family Retreat at Stockton.

Orica's Continued Support
Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 6:55AM Orica were presented with a framed jersey at a presentation at Harry's House for their continued sponsorship of the annual Harry's House Charity Shield Rugby League/Rugby Union Match held in May each year. Their support of this wonderful community event is very grateful and we hope that this partnership can continue over many years to come.
